As the main organizer of the Sports Fiesta 2023 for our institute's North Central Region, my leadership potential takes center stage. With 26 branches under our purview, effective coordination and collaboration are paramount to ensure the success of this grand event.

Financial management is a key facet of my leadership role, as I strategically allocate the budgeted amount of Rs. 475,000 to optimize resources for an unforgettable sports fiesta. Engaging with distinguished guests, including the Head of Network Management, Regional Business Head, and Regional Credit Head from HNB PLC, highlights my ability to network and garner support for our initiative.

Leadership also involves creating an inclusive and enjoyable environment for all participants. I am ensuring this by providing trophies, gifts, and a variety of refreshments. The logistics of unlimited beer and two liquor bottles for each branch are meticulously managed, showcasing my organizational prowess.

With events ranging from cricket matches to running events, tug of war, and a lively fancy dress parade, my leadership ensures a well-rounded and memorable Sports Fiesta, leaving a positive and lasting impact on the North Central Region of our institute.

Indika Prageeth Gamhewa, a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience, currently serves as a Relationship Officer SME at Hatton National Bank PLC. Holding a Certificate in Banking and Finance from IBSL, an Advanced Diploma in Business Management from NIBM, and a Diploma in Credit Management from IBSL, he has established a solid academic foundation.

Currently pursuing an MBA at London Metropolitan University, Indika is in the third semester of the program. Having successfully completed subjects such as Leadership and Strategic Management, People and Organizations: Principles and Practices in Global Contexts, Accounting and Finance for Managers, Marketing, and Marketing Communications and Operations, he demonstrates a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

The remaining subjects in his MBA curriculum include Management Learning and Research, Innovation Management, Developing Effectiveness in Management and Leadership. Indika is also actively engaged in his Business Research Project. His dedication to academic excellence and ongoing learning reflects his pursuit of a well-rounded skill set in the field of management.
